ANN DEMEULEMEESTER // Trend Board & Final Line Up

I decided on the title "Chop & Change" for my SS 11/12 trend to try and encorporate all aspects of my research into androgynous/unisex clothing, chair designs and multifunctional garments.

The final concept for the shoe was based on a scandinavian chair design (I had been researching modern furniture for some time). The chair appeared to slot together. I took this idea and bought some printed lino material to work with; I wanted material with some thickness to it but with a minimal pattern to add interest. I designed a shoe or bag that could in theory come flat-packed with pieces you could cut down to size in order to create the shoe or bag style you desired.
